April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) started her musical journey as a 7th grader in which she began piano and guitar classes. April Lockhart penned her first track"Different" at twelve years old. In her 14th year April was a big devotee of her time singing and writing songs. In the following months, she began taking writing excursions along with her father in LA in addition to NY. April also began incorporating other relevant topics into the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer who has a growing following. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership and is also a specialist in lifestyle. The disability she has is part of her persona, however it is not the whole of the picture. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her disability. It also doesn't make it a point to emphasize the issue. The profile is a statement. We all have multiple aspects and that we are all unique and we're greater than the physical person we are. I do not want this to define me I don't want to be a disability influencer in which I only speak about since there are many different things about me Lockhart says via video from her home in Nashville. However, it doesn't affect my day-to-day life. I still do all my normal activities and have adjusted to my disabilities. But it's also a part of me and I feel it's essential to discuss. Lockhart is a huge example to other women regarding self-acceptance. However, she admits to going through phases of being uncomfortable with her body and feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles which showed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts pictures of herself in these outfits on social media with pride. What makes self-love so appealing to her is the fact that it's not a place to go. However, that is typical for people who has insecurities. It's vital to surround yourself people who are able to identify and feel your heart.
